Project Overview

LARC Construction was appointed by Vinci Facilities to undertake essential groundworks for ducting installations within the secure compounds of HMP Exeter. Given the sensitive nature of the site, all works were carried out under strict security protocols, requiring an extensive vetting process and out-of-hours operations to accommodate prison requirements.

Scope of Works

Operating within a high-security environment, our team successfully delivered a range of critical groundwork services, including:

  • Excavations for Electrical Ducting – Precision trenching to install essential ducting infrastructure.
  • Security Lid Installation – Fitting of HMP-standard security lids to all draw boxes for enhanced protection.
  • Tarmac and Concrete Reinstatement – Restoring all disturbed surfaces to their original state while ensuring durability and security.
  • Concrete Pads for M&E Equipment – Constructing steel reinforced concrete bases for mechanical and electrical installations.
